Enterprise architecture repository and governance

The architecture record your board can rely on.

Lintel EA brings your architecture repository, review board and design authority into one governed system. TOGAF and ArchiMate aligned, with every decision traceable to the principle behind it.

Why Lintel

Architecture decisions deserve better than a slide deck and a shared drive.

Most organisations hold their architecture in diagrams, spreadsheets and the memory of a few people. Lintel makes the record structured, governed and answerable.

A governed repository

Capabilities, applications, data and technology held as connected elements, with versions, change sets and a clear owner for each.

A board that decides on record

An ARB workbench where votes are recorded, the Chair decides, and caveats become tracked actions rather than minutes nobody reads.

Solutions scored, not opined

Score any solution or repository element against your principles, standards, policies and patterns, and see exactly where it falls short.

The platform

One system from strategy to approval.

Lintel connects the repository, the roadmap and the review board so architects spend their time on design, not on chasing the record.

  • ArchiMate-aligned modelling and relationships
  • Change sets that show what a proposal alters
  • Interface catalogue and capability versioning
  • Import from the tools and spreadsheets you use today
  • Two-way email updates: stakeholders are emailed when an engagement changes, and their replies are read and filed against the right record

Model

Describe the enterprise in a notation your architects already know.

Plan

Roadmaps and change sets tied to the elements they affect.

Decide

Board decisions with reasoning, caveats and follow-up actions.

Assure

Evidence that delivery follows the standards you set.

Governance you can evidence

Every decision traceable to the principle behind it.

Lintel EA holds a strict chain from principles to standards to policies to patterns. When the board approves with caveats, or rejects, the reasoning is on the record and the chain shows why.

The governance framework

Principles set the intent

Commitments that outlast any one project.

Standards and policies make it enforceable

Linked, versioned and owned.

Patterns make it repeatable

Approved designs teams can adopt with confidence.

Scores make it visible

Attach scoring to any ARB item or repository element.

Built for regulated, accountable organisations

Separation you can explain to your auditor.

Dev, staging and live

Each organisation has its own staging and live environments, and the environment is always shown on screen. Data only moves in one direction, and never from dev or staging to live.

Tenant isolation

Every client runs on its own named address, or on your own domain, with its own data and its own administrators.

Controlled promotion

Releases move as a single build. One role promotes to staging and the client administrator promotes to live.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is Lintel aligned to TOGAF and ArchiMate?

Yes. The repository is structured around the TOGAF Architecture Development Method and models in ArchiMate notation, so your existing frameworks and skills carry straight across. Alignment is a design basis, not a certification claim.

How does Lintel support an Architecture Review Board?

Lintel has an ARB workbench. Members record votes, the ARB Chair makes the decision, and reasoning is required when the vote is not unanimous. Outcomes are approve, reject, approve with caveats or defer, and caveats become tracked actions.

What does scoring against principles, standards, policies and patterns mean?

Lintel EA holds a strict chain from principles to standards to policies to patterns. Solutions and repository elements can be scored against that chain, so a decision is traceable to the principle behind it.

How is my data separated from other organisations?

Each organisation has its own tenant with its own live and staging environments. Staging data is anonymised, and real data lives only in live. Dev data is never promoted to staging and staging data is never promoted to live.

Can we use our own domain name?

Yes. Customers can supply their own URLs for staging and live. By default each tenant is served on its own named address under lintel-ea.com.
